HTML...Huh?
Defintion
HTML or HyperText Markup Language -- The coding language used to create Hypertext documents for use on the World Wide Web. Simply put, it is what you are looking at right now, translated by your computer. HTML looks a lot like old-fashioned typesetting code, where you surround a block of text with codes that indicate how it should appear, additionally, in HTML you can specify that a block of text, or a word, is linked to another file on the Internet. HTML files are meant to be viewed using a World Wide Web Client Program, such as Netscape or Mosaic.
Why Learn A Little?
Your probably thinking "I just want to be able to sell stuff." And you will be able to sell and market products on the Internet without an extensive knowledge of HTML. But if you know the basics I promise it will save you hours of time.
I speak from first hand knowledge. For example, when you want resell an ebook or have created one of your own to sell, you need a salespage. Most of the time you will be able to use a ready made salespage provided to you. You will still need to know how to personlize it and add your contact and payment information. The first time you look at HTML code it will be like reading Greek. If you know the basics these tasks will become simple.
Creating a salespage from scratch to post on your website or list on an Ebay auction will be more difficult.

HTML know how can come in handy. Well, for Corey Rudl that is an understatement. Corey started from scratch with nothing and has built a tremendously successful online business. Listen to his personal struggles...can you relate?
"I did everything myself -- built the site in HTML 1.0, learned how to use FTP programs, figured out how to build a banner, and things like that. Those were the days when Netscape 1.0 had just come out and there was no such thing as secure real-time online ordering. It was all so new and exciting!
I was glued to my computer 24 hours a day testing all kinds of wild and crazy marketing ideas to see which ones worked. And I can tell you that 95 out of 100 ideas failed, but the ones that did work, worked like crazy! Within 18 months I had the #1 best-selling car book online... and it's been #1 ever since!" - Cory Rudl The Internet Marketing
Center®
In the following interview, Corey reveals how he grew his business from a one-man show in his parents' basement to four online businesses that attract over 1.8 million visitors per month and generated over $7.6 MILLION in online sales last year. Corey reveals exactly how he did it, and details precisely what entrepreneurs need to be doing TODAY to be successful online.
